In May, 2008, Allen Cox, aka, the Bald Kahuna, shaved his head while living on Maui, Hawaii. Jobless at the time, he sat on the beach and began creating original graphics and fun slogans for the bald community, worldwide. Soon after he founded Bald Kahuna Enterprises International and formalized Bald is Bold as his first project. The Mission for the project was two-fold:
(1) To support those people, young or old, whom are now bald, either naturally or by choice, and
(2) To encourage those in the world whom are considering the action of shaving their heads.
The intention of the Bald Kahuna’s Team is to offer unique graphics on quality apparel and accessories. And to provide sources of information about the bald community through relevant ARTICLES and LINKS to other webites.

A sunny day finds the Bald Kauna paddling an outrigger sail canoe off of Polo Beach on the south coast of Maui. A glint of sun reflects off his smooth dome as a reminder to all with their “new hair” to always protect your with sunscreen or a hat. Your sensitive scalp deserves good protection and prevention from skin cancer.

In his elder years, the Bald Kahuna is learning how to surf at Lahaina Harbor As you know, many times learning can be painful… this shot of him taking a header and landing with his back striking a coral reef is a good example.

A 1998 Honda Shadow was the main form of transportation for the Bald Kahuna. Rain or shine he would ride the roads of West Maui with the most common trip from Napili to Lahaina Town. Our first motorcycle design in the WHEELS product line is RIDE ‘N SHINE. More designs will soon be available.
